“Denizens of the Center,” talk by Ryan Irwin, SUNY Albany

Please join us on Thurs, March 31 at 4:30 p.m. in the Hall of Graduate Studies, room 211, for a lecture by Ryan Irwin, Assistant Professor of History, SUNY Albany titled ”Denizens of the Center: Law as American Grand Strategy”
The talk will trace the evolution of liberal internationalism during the mid-twentieth century. Outlining a collective biography of Dean Acheson, Felix Frankfurter, Harold Laski, and Walter Lippmann, the narrative reveals the mechanisms by which these individuals redefined the meaning of sovereignty, rights, and world order.
