ISS administers several important programs supporting research and teaching on a diverse range of international, political, economic, diplomatic, and military topics.  These programs draw their inspiration from Professor Kennedy’s career in international history and share his central mission: the expansion of knowledge about international history for the advancement of understanding and cooperation for world order and progress. In this age of fast-changing international affairs, ISS remains a place of open scholarly inquiry that transcends distinctions between doctoral and pre-doctoral and the interests of military and civilian constituencies.  ISS encourages discourse across all such boundaries.
